Local Government Information Technology South Australia Inc. (LGITSA) runs two major events each year, creating opportunities for Local Government Information Technology and Information Management professionals and sponsors to come together, network, share and present projects, learnings and collaborative opportunities. The major events are curated and run by the LGITSA committee, with event management and coordination by Think Purple Solutions. Presentations include international keynotes, local suppliers and a large number of presentations a sessions by professionals from local, South Australian Councils.

The LGITSA major events are typically held in May and October each year and consist of a one day conference followed by a one day workshop. The conference includes keynote and industry presentations and a sponsor expo area. The October conference day also includes the annual LGITSA awards and gala dinner celebrating innovation and excellence across Local Government IT and IM. The Members only workshop day includes focused streams for Information Technology and Information Management.
