LGITSA has several workgroups and initiatives striving to add value to our membership. Details of each are shown below.
The LGITSA cyber security strategy gives an overview of Local Government business drivers, strategic priorities and cyber security initiatives for the purposes of identifying potential collaboration partners, funding and resourcing opportunities.
Strategy & Governance
The LGITSA committee strives to operate with sound governance and has established a strategy to support initiatives and advancing the entire Local Government Information Technology and Information Management professional industries.
Working with LGA Procurement, LGITSA has been instrumental in developing and promoting the use of VendorPanel, establishing and maintain the ICT Contract 16001 for use by South Australian Councils.
Information Management SIG
Led by representatives from LGITSA and a number of members across South Australian Councils, the Information Management Special Interest Group (IM SIG) strives to provide an opportunity and forum for Information Management professionals to contribute to the development of IM standards, legislation and best practice across the state.
Plan SA and PDI Act Engagement
As the new Planning Portal ‘Plan SA’ takes effect as of March 2021, LGITSA is contributing to conversations, planning and representing Councils to ensure a mature and successful product is delivered that suits and benefits all South Australian Councils.
As LGITSA moves toward modern and future initiatives, we are working to improve our website and member resources to present an online presence and tools that best represents the members and networks.
